Bridge the chasm
ISAAAC is a Spanish Association registered as a non-profit international academic-industrial initiative to build global alliances and an ecosystem of high-profiled partners in academia, industry and national governments.
ISAAAC is the acronym for Internet of Things, Industrial IoT, System of Systems, Autonomy, Algorithms, Analytics and Complex Systems. Our projects design, build and bring to the market next generation solutions, catalyzed by R&D.
ISAAAC is a New generation Think Tank that is building structured bridges between leaders to collectively work with partners creating solutions to solve their challenges.

ISAAAC is hosted by the Salamanca University Science Park
The Association aims to advise, facilitate, enhance, and promote technological development and innovation at national and international levels by focusing on the implementation of new models, research, development, and innovation across business, academic, public, and private initiatives.
ISAAAC VERTICALS
ISAAAC build bridges following a triple helix model between academic worlds, industry and government.
ISAAAC channels relationships to build and foster global collaborative networks, design next-generation solutions driven by innovation, research, and development, and promote initiatives and projects of interest on local, regional, national, and international scales.
Our focus areas include, but are not limited to, the Internet of Things, Industry 4.0, Systems Integration, Autonomy, Algorithms, Complex Systems Analysis, and Supply Chain Management.

Rationale
The paradigm of connectivity by design was unlocked when the MIT Autoid labs Center alluded to the IoT (digital by design) metaphor in its conceptual paper on the networked physical world.
The concept to create connectivity solutions calls for an ecosystem approach which connects system of systems using interoperability between system-specific platforms integrated with functions (security, protocol-agnostic application-triggered connectivity, business logic, customer applications, visualization, data receivers/transmitters, actuators, analytics, intelligence).
ISAAAC shall attempt to align members with innovative competencies to help create end to end value chain of solutions. Implementing large scale proof-of-concepts to evaluate these solutions in the real-world may transform business collaborators to customers. The ability to transform vision into reality creates goodwill and builds trust.
To what end?
Building a robust framework by leveraging academic excellence, industry leadership, and institutional partnerships to drive impactful policy influence and innovation.
Driving vertical-specific “intelligent” connectivity solutions with a focus on the end-to-end value chain.
Integrating R&D and innovation with partners, system integrators, potential users and future customers (the ecosystem). Creating multi-pronged approach with low investment gradually phased in to reduce the barrier to entry/start.
Based on experience and interactions with big consortia, it is clear that a few driven, dedicated and determined companies can help to rapidly create novel solutions through R&D investment and build real world test beds for interoperable solutions.
This initiative is a “working consortium” approach.
Engaging High-Level Experts – Collaborating with academic thought leaders, industry pioneers, scientific authorities, and policy experts. Establishing advisory boards, think tanks, and public-private roundtables to shape policy discourse.
Developing Academic-Industry Partnerships – Leveraging top-tier universities and research institutions to create R&D consortia and joint ventures with global brands, aligning with Global Thematic Priorities.
Building a Corporate Ecosystem – Forming industry alliances across key verticals (AI, Green Energy, Healthcare, etc.) to address regulatory gaps and drive cohesive lobbying strategies through public-private dialogues.
Collaborating with Institutional Excellence as a Magnet – Positioning prestigious institutions as conveners of industry-government collaborations, hosting high-profile summits, and launching flagship projects to attract strategic partners.
Forging Government Relationships for Societal Impact – Partnering with public agencies to develop science-driven policies, securing funding for R&D initiatives, and advocating for regulatory frameworks that foster innovation and economic progress.
